This is where a postpartum doula can really help. A doula loves to hear your birth story, support you with after birth recovery and tend to your newborn with love and attention.
Meet Jodi Kinney, LPN
A compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for more than 20 years, Jodi has worked in a variety of health care environments where she cared for patients of all ages. Since 2013, she has worked with infants and their parents in the hospital’s labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum departments. Driven by a belief that support shouldn’t end with birth, Jodi’s desire to help parents feel more confident once they leave the hospital led her to launch Baby Bear Doula Care in 2023.
Earning a Daisy Award for being an “extraordinary nurse,” Jodi’s superpower is listening to and advocating for patients and their families while delivering nurturing and responsive care. She brings that same bedside manner to her clients as a postpartum doula and to the doula students she trains, certifies, and mentors in the greater Charlotte, NC area.
Outside of work, Jodi enjoys spending time with family including her two grandchildren. She loves being outside in nature, hiking, and water sports.
